blog post #1: why put together?
I have two passions: style and efficiency.
For me, style is much more than clothes and jewelry, and hair. It’s who we are, how we speak, how we treat ourselves, ow we treat others, where we choose to live, how we decorate our homes, how we keep our homes, what we feed our minds, what we put into our bodies, how we choose to spend our time, what career we choose, what family life we choose, how we evolve, and much, much more.
We live in a time where we are being told what we should be. What we should wear, what we should think, what our homes should look like. I’m on a mission to peel off the layers of what we are told to do and find our own genuine lives.
Efficiency, I feel, is the behind the scenes of style. It’s how we manage all of the things that we are so that they don’t overwhelm us. How do we choose the most important things and let the others go?
These days, it feels like so many of us are competing to be the busiest, the one with the most on his or her plate, the most exhausted. I want to help myself and others balance productivity with peace.
And so ‘Put Together’ is born. I’m often told, “You’re always so put together”, and it’s the greatest compliment I can get. For me it says I’m evolving towards finding style and living my life in balance. As I continue this journey, I’d like to share what I’ve tried and what has worked for me and hopefully inspire others to figure out their own personal style and how to maintain it in peace.
